1. HOW DO I DISASSEMBLE THE COMPOST BIN AND REASSEMBLE IT WHEN I AM DONE WITH ONE PILE & MOVING ON TO THE OTHER?

There are two ways you can do it. You can either disassemble the compost bin (unlock the keys) when you are done with one pile and want to start a new pile. Or you can simply lift up the compost bin and place it somewhere else and start composting again!

2. CAN THIS COMPOST BIN BE KEPT OUT IN THE SUN OR DO I HAVE TO PLACE IT UNDER THE SHADE FOR MORE EFFICIENT COMPOSTING?

It’s completely fine to keep the compost bin out in the sun as efficient composting requires heat, but also depends on how often you flip and turn the garden waste.

3. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR WASTE TO COMPOST?

On average, dry composting is a slow process and will take at least a few months 8-12 weeks before fully converting into organic fertilizer. It depends on the weather condition, type of waste being composted and how often you flip and turn the waste.

4. HOW TALL IS THIS COMPOST BIN? IS IT MADE OF PLASTIC?

The compost bin is around 90cm(35.4”) tall and made from hard durable HDPE material, which is able to withstand harsh conditions outdoors and prevent chemical reactions from occurring. HDPE material is also anti-corrosion, non flammable and less likely to degrade even after long term use.

5. HOW TO SET UP YOUR COMPOST BIN?

1.Open your composter, lay it flat to break the curl, then expand it to the desired diameter •As your needs grow, expand the width of your composter

• Don’t use the first set of slots to complete the circle, but rather the second set for the largest recommended diameter

2.Connect and secure your composter

• Insert the compost bin closing key through the overlapping slot, and then use the buckle to lock the key

Place a closure key through the top- most, bottom-most, and center slots at your preferred diameter

6. WHAT ITEMS TO COMPOST?

Not all food scraps qualify as good composting material. That’s because some items can attract wild animals and pests. There’s brown matter (dry or woody) and green matter (moist and somewhat fresh) to compost, or not compost, and it can get confusing. Here’s a reference list:

Do compost:

• Fruit and vegetable peels and eggshells
• Brown paper products (unwaxed cardboard, newspaper, paper towels, coffee filters)
• Houseplants and yard waste (free from disease/pesticides)
• Coffee grounds
• Hair and fur
• Nutshells
• Wood shavings/sawdust

Never compost:

• Animal and seafood byproducts (meat, bones)
• Dairy (including fats such as oil, butter, and grease)
• Plants treated with pesticides; diseased plants
• Pet and human waste
• Foam, plastic, glass, and metal containers
